I am an educator, professor, and strategic consultant who helps schools build instructional systems where adults feel supported and students feel seen. My work sits at the intersection of equity, belonging, mathematics, STEM, multilingual learning, and leadership is always grounded in the belief that when we care for the adults who care for our children, students can truly thrive.
WHO I AM & WHAT I BELIEVE

I began my career as an NYC public school mathematics teacher, where I saw firsthand how systems, or the lack thereof, shape opportunity. Today, as a professor of educational leadership and the founder of B. Neil Solutions, I help schools create clear, coherent instructional structures that honor both student brilliance and adult expertise.
I believe strong schools are built on clarity, coherence, and care. Instruction improves when adults feel supported, aligned, and empowered to do their best work.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND & SCHOLARSHIP
I serve as an Assistant Teaching Professor of Educational Leadership at Montclair State University and hold a Ph.D. in Urban Education from the Graduate Center, CUNY.
My scholarship focuses on:
-
Black women’s mathematics pedagogy
-
QuantCrit and data justice
-
Belonging-centered leadership
-
Multilingual learner instruction
-
Culturally grounded frameworks for family engagement
-

I develop original theories that shape both my research and consulting practice:
-
Ancestral Intelligent Technology (AIT)
-
A framework illuminating the embodied, communal, intergenerational wisdom that Black women educators hold forms of intelligence that are often extracted but rarely protected in schools.
-
-
Parental Pedagogy
-
A theory and praxis that positions the Black family as a site of knowledge, healing, and instructional power, reframing parenting as an intellectual, cultural, and liberatory act.
-
